This short video is about continuity editing. To do it we filmed a sequence of a person opening and closing doors with them being connected by corridors for it to make more sense. We also added music to the video as this is all leading up to my final music video so I need practice in putting the right music with the visuals. We choose spy music because we thought it would make more sense because half of the video is done in two different costumes and it would make the door sequence more believable as at one point the girl goes into a toilet cubical and then she appears going through another door straight afterwards; these actions are very stereotypical of a spy. We also used a range of shots, for example closeups of the hand on the doors and then straight afterwards a long shot of the girl coming through the door so that it's clear in what is going on in the video and that there is continuity through out. I learnt a lot by doing this small project especially how important it is to think through the sequence of shots I am filming (which also makes it easier when editing) so that there is continuity which means it will make a lot more sense to the viewer. These skills will come in handy with my music video as i am doing it in a narrative style so continuity editing will help me to tell the story and for it to make sense to the viewer.
